GRAPHIC DESIGN
This project was to bring awareness to people checking themselves for signs and symptoms of breast and testicular cancer.
I used food as a metaphor to remind people to check their bodies for signs and symptoms of cancer. The concept explores how people are comfortable feeling food in supermarkets for any imperfections but forget, or are uncomfortable checking themselves. This draws attention to the problem without it being an aggressive cancer campaign. If symptoms are caught early enough it could save your life.
The stickers relate to symptoms of breast and testicular cancer. These are put on food that people regularly pick up and feel before buying. Once the food is bought further information is printed on the receipt to clarify the stickers meaning, reminding people to check themselves. There Is also a website where people can go to receive more information, encouraging people to share this online to reach a further audience.
